Anna & Scott – Wedding

Wow! This was not only an incredible couple but also such fun friends and family! Everyone involved with this wedding was so kind and thoughtful throughout the day we felt so at home while shooting.

What I loved most about Anna and Scott is that they aren’t afraid to have fun. When I initially heard Scott was a state trooper my first thought was, ‘omg I bet he’s going to hate getting his photo taken’ and honestly maybe he does, but he hid it well! Haha! Scott was a great sport getting photos the entire day – from getting ready to portraits and I was in heaven! Not only did we have Scott on board, but Anna looked so gorgeous. I kept telling Tom she looked like a celebrity – I’m not sure which one, but she could definitely pass as someone famous.

There’s something about a bride that is all done up and just oozing confidence. It honestly makes for the best photos.

We traveled up to Towanda, PA for this wedding which is in the Northern PA region by Scranton. Towanda was such a charming town and we really enjoyed the people we met there. The wedding ended up starting at a cute Bed and Breakfast and ending at the local country club.

As is the case for many brides this year, this was not Anna and Scott’s original plan. They planned to get married earlier in the year and then the virus got pretty bad. All of their plans were changed including the venue and even the photographer! That’s right – I wasn’t even Anna’s original photographer. When we had gotten in contact about their new date, I had followed Anna on Instagram only to find that she and Scott eloped a few days after we talked. I thought that was so cool of them because when the odds were stacked against them, they chose each other.

Though everything from this day got turned upside down, these two pulled off a stunning wedding with a really fun reception full of laughter and love. I was so honored that Anna trusted Tom and me to shoot her wedding and I really do cherish the friendship we’ve gained along the way.

Anna, if you’re reading this – I’m so sorry that your wedding wasn’t how you originally planned, but I am so grateful that our paths crossed and that we got the opportunity to get to know you and Scott. You’re both incredible people and we can’t wait to see what life brings you both!
