Let’s Do It Again
This wedding is going into our books as absolutely iconic. This is one of the weddings we will hold close to our hearts forever. You might be thinking what exactly makes this wedding different from any other Saturday? So many reasons! First of this is my (Emily’s) soul mate couple. I just adore Kelly and Nick as individuals and are even more obsessed with them as a couple. They are so playful with each other and I just love being around them. Sometimes there are couples that we just click with immediately and these two were that for me! I enjoyed being a part of their day and feel so honored that they chose us! If I could, I’d put this wedding on my calendar every single year and John James Audubon Center is the perfect host. Haha
5-Star Vendor Team
If you haven’t seen from the photos, this wedding had an incredible vendor team taking care of the couple the entire day. One of our favorite planners (if not our #1 favorite 😬) Events by Gillian, had a vision for the day and we got to see it come to life with the collaboration of all of our fellow vendors. She even showed us her sketch of the sweetheart table and put it next to our real life photos. It was so cool to see her vision and how accurately it was executed. Every single wedding we do with her is absolute magic. We can’t recommend her enough – even if just for coordination. You will not regret it. Summer Wedding at John James Audubon Center
John James Audubon Center made for the perfect backdrop for photos on this overcast day. We had a little rain on the way to the venue, but it cleared up just in time! There were so many locations here that made planning for rain really easy! You can’t say that for every venue. Plus there is a bird sanctuary here with a museum and everything. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get a photo with the resident owl due to bird flu, but he did make a short appearance during getting ready. It was such a fun and unique space to host an event. Tom and I had been to John James Audubon Center before for leisure back when our house was 5 minutes away! Definitely nice to be back in this area for such a beautiful day.
