24! Wow! I remember celebrating Tomโs 17th birthday in high school. ๐
While this birthday sure did look different than most, it was still really fun in its own way. Honestly, this year, we celebrated all weekend long.
On Friday, we had a zoom party with our church friends where we all made tacos and cupcakes to celebrate. We also played Quiplash (like apples to apples but digital) and another T. Shirt design game. Tom and I both agree Quiplash is more fun! Copeland was absolutely crazy during our zoom call so we decided to keep him outside. He decided he was going to dig all throughout our garden beds so he could also have fun when we were having fun. Lord help us!
You guysโฆ check out how Tom set up our zoom call. ๐Can you tell heโs a professional videographer? Gosh, I love him.
Tom spent the majority of his actual birthday outside working on his project – he is making a platform for the back of his Range Rover to camp in! He loves that car and is working hard to make it something we can use during the summer instead of having to buy a camper (for now). Iโm a total glamper so Iโm not sure how that will go.
On Sunday evening we went over to my parentโs house (they live down the street from us) and fear not, weโve been essentially quarantine with them as weโre all working on the house together so itโs not like they havenโt seen us without masks on since this whole thing started. So we had a birthday dinner with them on Sunday and ate ribs like happy kings. We are so grateful to be living close by to my parents – they always find a way to make the average special.
Monday night (Iโm still counting as birthday weekend since Monday still felt special) we had a little quarantine fire outside. We had made a gorgeous fire pit last year in our back yard and since we are moving back yards, we figured now would be a good time to christen it!
So that is the gist of the long birthday weekend in quarantine! Anyone else celebrates birthdays in a long-weekend form? ๐
