Mr. & Mrs. Ford’s wedding was classic and beautiful in every way. If you love a good fairytale ending, you’ll love Brooke and Austin’s wedding day story! This wedding at Historic Acres of Hershey PA has everything – lace details, romantic portraits under the willow trees, the most precious father-daughter first look, and a pristine classic car for the couple with the perfect last name!
Gettysburg sweethearts married at Historic Acres of Hershey
Austin and Brooke met at an early age in their local Gettysburg youth group. They were sweethearts then, and the rest is history! It was so special for us to get to photograph both their engagement portraits and wedding ceremony at Historic Acres of Hershey! The landscaping is so wonderful and offers an endless variety of portrait locations. Plus, we had the most gorgeous summer weather!
Brooke looked like an absolute princess on her wedding day! The floral, lace, full bodied gown and ivory silk kitten heels were the perfect look for her. The way that window light framed her figure in the bridal suite at Historic Acres was what bridal portrait dreams are made of!
Precious first looks and sentimental wedding details
Before the ceremony, Brooke shared a first look with both her soon-to-be husband, as well as one with her father. Brooke and Austin’s first look was followed by lots of giggles and laughter, outbursts of contagious joy! Brooke’s father’s reaction to seeing his little girl in her wedding gown was absolutely precious. One of the things I love most about being a wedding photographer is the opportunity to witness loving family relationships, and creating these images that encapsulate those connections. This father-daughter first look was one of those moments.
My favorite detail from this wedding was the classic car, displayed in memory of its original owner outside the reception. This family car was passed down through generations, and restored last year by the groom to be used as their getaway vehicle. Plus, it’s a FORD!
The fantastic wedding vendors at Historic Acres
Before we get into the photos, I just want to give credit to all the amazing vendors who worked this wedding. We work with lots of great wedding vendors each year, but this team was exceptionally amazing. From vision to execution, organization to people skills, the team at Historic Acres of Hershey and independent vendors Brooke and Austin hired knocked it out of the park.
